Brum brum brum

Allo. So today is my third weekend in brum, I think...and all is going well.  settled into my job fine and am working hard getting the store into shape. It needs a lot of work.  I'm hoping to add to my mannequin collection by getting some old ones that are no longer in use. Storage is still a problemo.

As for life in Birmingham, money has stopped me from really getting into it and exploring but the five week month came to an end on friday, I didn't think it was ever going to come. Next week I will be going out with the others who I work with for some cocktails. Mines a mojito or something equally luscious containing ginger, gin and tonic water or even a rum based treat.

Its been a while since I last updated this blog, I'm doubt it today from my lively phone, apologies for any spelling errors you may encounter, it tends to just make up words and not make sense! I'be been up waiting for the boiler men to come change the boiler, its going well, earlier I made one of them a cup of tea, politely I asked if he took sugar, he replied, yes please live, three. I very loudly hen replied to his reply with a brash...whaaaaaat, three! This feels wrong. Vomit!

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. I'm just hopping out contemplating opening the gin fuzz, its a bit early though, right?

0542

If your reading this at the time I posted it I expect your either well and truly tucked up and dreaming of watermelons or your just about getting in after an amazing night out! Moi, I'm the only bastard sitting at the train station waiting for the first train out of here, the 0612!

My line has some engineering works on, of course so to start work at 8, yes 8 on a sunday, I have to get the 0612! Niiiiice, jealous I hear you shout! The full journey according to wwwmthetrainlinemcom will take 1.5 hours, I'm hoping less as I can't imagine that many folk wanting to venture out on a sunday! But you'll be surprised what people get up to!

This is an extended tweet basically! The trackball on my blackberry 8900 is terminally ill, thus my phone isnon its way out! I can't scroll up, therefore actually use my phone for such things as social networking! Its a ball bag!

I hope you have a better sunday than me!

Peace out
Lucy x

He needs a name

He was born in the most beautiful place where I spent three months of my life, Chimney Corners Camp, located in a small dainty pin prick of The Berkshires, Massachusetts.

I worked as Yearbook Editor/Media Director, I had free reign of camp, capturing the smiles of the campers, some having traveled as far away as Paris! I then compiled a yearbook from scratch of the campers summer, I've had some lovely responses 'its amazing', 'the best one yet' makes me sad it really does, I'm pleased with the end result, the pictures look lovely, however if I had my own way it would all be in colour, but due to costs only the outer pages tickle my colour buds!

I'll upload some examples.

Which leads me onto my little bear friend. He needs a name. I presume he is a he! I made him with a bunch of kids, getting involved, taking a few working images. I thoroughly enjoyed it, in fact I'm going to add to the collection and build an empire one day.

isn't he cute

Fizz Wiz popping candy

What a childhood treat, was 10p now 15p! That's nice, remember when mars and snickers were 30p, those were the days, there now approaching 60p!

I stumbled across Fizz Wiz today whilst trying to sniff out 50p sea salt and black pepper pringles, no such luch though!

I remember fizz wizz having a different character on the front being different, perhaps they are trying to appeal to the european market, seeing as though its now produced and shipped from Barcelona!
